Tim Welsh, President and co-owner of Welsh Construction, came to his role in a circuitous
way. Following college graduation, he was working with his wife, Janeen, at a children’s
home. The job was fulfilling, but emotionally draining. And they needed a break.
Drawing on experience he had gained working with a local contractor on the remodel of his
parent’s home, the couple decided that Lexington, Virginia was the perfect place to raise a
family . . . and start a new business. With a bathroom remodel job lined up, they took the
plunge and have never looked back. With Tim at the helm, the firm has experienced a
steady and controlled growth, achieved a class A Contractor Designation and,
has produced dedicated employees, loyal subcontractors and an ever growing list of awards
and satisfied clients.

Tim’s philosophy for the business is simple: “The fear and hardships involved in remodeling
one’s home can be very challenging. We view it as our job to alleviate those fears, using
proven communication tools and treating the client’s home as if it were our own.”
